The diameter of the heat pad is 30cm (12'') and it is suitable for glass and plastic fermenters, carboys, and buckets. It is easy to clean by wiping off and easy to store. The temperature controller is connected with an NTC temperature probe, which can be fixed on the fermenter by a rubber holder and a band (included in the package). The temperature controller ensures the desired temperature is maintained. The temperature range that can be set by the controller is 0 to 42 ℃. Improper use may cause fire or electric shock. Please note: The heat pad can raise the temperature by 3-11℃ above the ambient temperature due to its low wattage. Therefore if the ambient temperature is too far below the desired temperature, it may be hard to reach the desired temperature. You may need to use some insulated covers for the fermenter body to keep the wort warm during the winter times when the ambient temperature is quite low.
